Immediately following the 5pm Mass at St. Mary Chillicothe this Saturday, join us for food and fellowship at the bi-annual Hog Roast. We thank Karen Leeth, Mike Haller, the Knights of Columbus, and the many volunteers who made this event possible.
The Food For Families Ministry is taking up a special food collection to give families served at the November distribution a bag of Thanksgiving dinner items in addition to what the family normally receives at the monthly distribution. These bags will be packed by the 5th and 6th grade students of Bishop Flaget. Please see the bulletin for a list of requested items. Donations can be left in the marked collection tubs in the back of either Chillicothe churches or the parish office throughout the month of October.
Next Saturday, October 3rd, is the annual observance of the Transitus, a prayer service in memory of St. Francis of Assisi. Our local Secular Franciscans honor their founder every year, and warmly invite all parishioners to attend following the 5pm Mass at St. Mary Chillicothe. After the prayer service, there will be a reception in the Family Life Center; please bring a side dish to share.
Next Sunday, October 4th, is the annual rosary procession. This year, it will occur following the 10am Mass at St. Mary Waverly. Join us for this public profession of faith as we honor our Holy Mother during the month of the Rosary. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall; please bring a side dish to share.
Attention Liturgical Ministers: the October through December schedule has been emailed. If you need a printed copy, those will be available for pickup in the back of the churches starting this weekend.
The Military Ministry is updating their record of active-duty parishioners, as well as the list of parishioners who have served in the past. Please see the bulletin for the information we need, and contact Mollie Maimone with your family's updates.
